History
Batric is an associate of Pretty Blood, but it's unknown whether he's an official employee of theirs or simply someone who does business with them.
Backstory
Unlike other villains in the series, Batric possesses a tragic backstory. In the beginning of Heterodox Malino: One Insane Wolf,[1] where a short comic of Batric (as an infant) is shown, he is taken away from his supposed mother by one of the wolf guards due to the policies that Silver has enforced in that episode—using child labor and torturing the villagers' children in hopes of creating new supersoldiers.
At the end of the episode, he could be seen in a basket with other infants. Due to the episode's plot, it's heavily implied that he got tortured during his experience in Heterodox Malino,[nb 1] which inevitably led him to become a villain in the series.
Episodic History
Pretty Blood
In The Starter, he can be seen entering Rina Pompom's chamber, where he would torture her by means of whipping and electrocuting her. While doing that, he'd receive numerous requests from an unknown contact, urging him to torture her more; he refuses to respond, though. Sadny Bin would dispatch several drones to infiltrate the Pretty Blood chambers, and one of those drones would shock Batric. Batric would be able to detach the drone from his head by using a drone detacher. He's last seen exiting the chamber.
In Living Hell, he sells Rina Pompom to Andy. In one instance, he's seen dining and eating lobster at a restaurant. While sitting in the restaurant, he would proceed to ghost Andy and not reply to his messages regarding Rina and the experiment. In another instance, he comes back to the chambers with a golden ship with the goal of finding The Twins.
In The Twins, he gets off his golden ship and enters the facility. Once he's in the torture chamber, both shared by Pompom and the twins, he encounters a humanoid creature with a chainsaw ready to pounce at him. Batric prepares his claws as the creature runs at him. Once the door is opened, the creature gets dismembered into pieces due to Batric's sharp Claws. He confirms his arrival through voice recognition and begins torturing the twins by beating, drowning, and whipping them until the end of the episode.
Technical
Although he wasn't explicitly shown in Illogical Technique, the events of the episode may imply that he may or may not have been present in the submarine incident. The Pretty Blood base gets raided by Mr. Bin and Nono, causing a mass breach. Any Pretty Blood member then attempted to flee via submarines, but those were then overrun with Necro Worms, killing most, if not all, of the present Pretty Blood members. LCT confirmed that Batric didn't die in the submarines,[2] implying that he either wasn't present in the incident or he got away somehow.[nb 2]
However, in Technical: Inhuman, he makes a cameo. He's shown dining in the same restaurant as shown in two previous Pretty Blood episodes (Technical: Pretty Blood and Technical: Illogical Technique) with an unknown companion. On the table he's dining at in the episode, there are the same plate of lobster, the three-arm candelabra, the green bottle of alcohol, and the yellow cocktail glass on his table—which just so happen to be the same decorations as seen in Living Hell.
Just a Neighbors
In the non-canon episode Just a Neighbors 2 (specifically, the ending), he appears in one of Kling's pictures, implying that he will be present in the next episode, Just a Neighbors 3.
Appearance
Batric is an orange cat malino with gray eyes. He always wears his signature outfit—a blue suit, a white shirt, a red tie, gray slacks, and dark gray shoes. His eyes are large and beady, with white glints on them that constantly appear throughout the series.
He never seems to deviate from his appearance whenever he makes an appearance. However, in the earliest episode involving him (The Starter), he doesn't maintain a consistent appearance throughout the episode. For example, his eyes are scaled differently in the beginning of the episode compared to the rest of the episode; his nose and inner ear color are also seen in a beige color in certain instances; and there's even a moment of him not wearing shoes. The real reason for this is unknown.
Personality
Batric is creepily emotionless and silent. Unlike most killers in the series, like Rinny, who relishes the suffering of others, Batric seems to take no particular pleasure in torture, although he does smirk and blush once at Rina Pompom in The Starter and commonly attends the restaurant he dines at—where snuff films are presumably hosted.
One of his captions says, "Business is business,"[3] implying his dealings with Pretty Blood are based less on sadism and more on greed. Batric seems to be quite rich and lives a luxurious lifestyle, as seen in Living Hell; due to this, it could be presumed that he is a sybarite.[nb 3] Even though Batric doesn't gain any sort of pleasure from torturing others or show any signs of sadism like the other characters in the series (e.g., Rinny, Eluca, etc.), he also doesn't show any hesitation when doing it.
Batric is incredibly dispassionate and taciturn, much to the point that he barely says anything in the entire series and ghosts Andy about his concerns about Rina. The only times he's shown saying or vocalizing something are when he screamed in The Starter when he got electrocuted by Sadny Bin's drone and when he meowed to confirm his voice in The Twins.
Batric is also extremely fast and dangerous, with very quick reflexes and claws that can penetrate concrete, and he has a suppressed pistol hidden in his suit. In The Starter, he could be seen shooting Mr. Bin's drones with his suppressed pistol with high precision; in The Twins, he successfully kills the humanoid creature that pounced on him with his claws.
Most of these attributes can be correlated with Batric's involvement in Heterodox Malino.
